明暗

　眠れない。久しぶりに徹夜をした。もう外はすっかり明るい。朝日がカーテンを照らしている。まだ、その光はそれほど強くないけれど、もう少し時間が経てば、夏の強い日差しになることが分かる。
　昨日、所要のため、病院に行けなかったので、今日行かなければならない。常用している薬がもうない。ぼくはこれがないと、日常生活を送れない。
　いま機種変更してきたW-ZERO3[es]でこれを書いている。小さいし、便利だ。これがなかったら、いまこうして、ブログの更新をしようとなど思わなかっただろう。わざわざパソコンを立ち上げてまで書くことでもないし。
　いまこのW-ZERO3[es]で漱石の明暗を読んでいた。青空文庫でダウンロードしたものだ。明暗はなんどか読みかけたが、あの有名な出だし、主人公が医者に診察してもらう場面が、妙に生々しく、最初の数行で読む気が失せる。腸の病気なのだが、フィジカルな病気ではなく、なにか精神の暗澹たるものを感じさせて、全編のトーンがこんな風なのかなと思うのも、読む気を失せさせた。
　さっき読んでみたら、それほど気味の悪さを感じなかった。バルトが言うように、読書とは作家と読者の織物なのだろう。
